Zhang Xiuzhu was born in Xinfan County, Sichuan Province in 1950 and is now living in Beijing, Chengdu, and Foshan. He was taught Ye Qianyu and He Haixia before graduating from Chinese Painting Academy in 1987. In 1992, he became a student of the renowned Asian sculptor Wen Lou. In the past decade, he was engaged in diverse art media including mixed-media painting, Xuan paper rubbing sculpture, mixed-media sculpture, oil painting, traditional Chinese painting, and installation.
Earlier Activities:
Attended the 6th ,7th ,8th and 10th China Fine Arts Exhibition, rewarded with the prize of excellence in the 6th and 8th China Fine Arts Exhibition;
Works presented in the 1st and 2nd “Nature and People” Chinese Traditional/ Oil Landscape Painting Exhibition. ;
